It can be recalled that last evening of yesterday, the Office of the Clerk of Parliament cautioned members of the public that entrance into the House of Parliament today is strictly by invitation. He said people are encouraged to follow the live relay of happenings in parliament on AYV TV and other media outlets.

Four trucks loaded with Republic of Sierra Armed Forces personel were yesterday in the precinct of the Parliament of Sierra Leone Building in rehearsal of today’s State Opening.

The Military Brass Band was also rehearsing for the epic state opening ceremony where President Maada Bio is expected to deliver his first state of the union address as the democratically elected President of Sierra Leone.

The administration officials also yesterday concluded a meeting at Committee Room No.1 where they put together modalities to make the day historic as it ought to be. (https://andeglobal.org)
The students of the Ormamie Institute last evening decorated the Chamber, galleries and other viewing centers.

Karmoh Conteh who was yesterday charged with duty to arrange the Chamber for the state opening said that “because of the increased number of MPs, the number of people that will be able to watch the event from inside the Chamber will be highly limited.”
