According to Kamarainba he was invited by the Police to make a statement on the above accusations but that the statement taking was not concluded and he was asked to leave and that the police would get back to him one they have more intelligence to work on.

Mr. Mansaray disclosed that the Police at CID headquarter told him that he published false news against the president of the country. He stated that it is very sad for the country’s democracy to arrest an opposition leader when that leader’s only crime is to convey his concerns peacefully about things that are not going well in the country.

“When I read the charge, I saw the president’s name as complainant,” Mansaray said, adding that when the SLPP was in opposition, he and President Bio used to jointly criticize the former APC government.

According to Kamarainba this is the first time for him to go public to discuss national issues about the 100 days report of President Bio since the SLPP came to power. “Our democracy is under threat,” he said, adding that he will not stop to criticize objectively when there is need to do so in order to keep the government alert.

“I will wait for the investigation to finish. Every Sierra Leone that listened to the interview knows that I did not say anything wrong. The people of the country are my witnesses and they will protect me,” Kamarainba said.
