Ms. Gillen’s organization, the SKYY Women’s World Network (SWWN) joined over 100 organizations which have formed a partnership with the Board.

During the short ceremony, Ms. Gillen expressed delight at the partnership with the Board which she believes will enhance their collective efforts in expanding access to justice and human rights especially for women and children. She said her organization works with community women’s groups in Bo, Kenema, Pujehun,  Moyamba and Bombali districts on empowerment and social justice.

Ms. Carlton-Hanciles said the Board is very proud to partner with Ms. Gillen who heads SWWN as Coordinator.  ‘With your experience in civil society spanning over 20 years of activism, our two organizations will achieve a lot in ensuring women and children who are the most disadvantaged are able to access justice,’ she said. ‘We will work particularly in the provision of legal education, mediation, referral to ensure women and children know where to access justice and also provide pertinent information.

The ceremony was climaxed with the donation of free air time to the Legal Board.

‘We believe in what you’re doing around the country and this is why we are giving you free air time to promote your work,’ she said.
