Duwai started her professional career in High School in 2002, she started playing for the Annie Walsh Memorial School Volleyball team of which she was the Team-Captain till when she graduated High School in 2008.

She then continued playing professional soccer till University, in 2010 she was offered a position to play for the Republic of Sierra Leone Army Forces Football Team. She later joined the Sierra Leone Police Team in 2012 but later switched over to the Sierra Leone Cricket Association to be part of their National Female Team in 2013.

Duwai was part of a TV drama series called “The Team Salone” who played one of the lead characters as a female footballer amongst men trying to fight for the rights of women who wants to play football but was marginalized because she was a female. She stood for the rights of women and said it was okay to play football or any other sport as long as you are capable. Duwai herself says “ I was asked to play this role mainly because of my athletic abilities and the passion I have for sports and the concept behind the film” . She fitted so well like it was her own personal story. That Series was rated topped that year because of how she played her role and brought out the message which inspired and motivated other girls.

In 2015 she Captained the first female Kabaddi team in Sierra Leone, a new sport originated in India and played nationwide.

Amongst other awards and certificates Duwai won one of the biggest awards nationwide for the Best Sportswoman in the Country at the Sierra Leone NEXTE Awards in 2016.
