But as things now stand, the general public is receiving reports from especially WASSC examination candidates that they are being intimidated because of the presence of armed military and police personnel right in their midst inside the examination hall.

If this is true, then this is a new precedent being set by the current Ministry of Education; forgetting the simple fact that, President Julius Maada Bio’s mantra while campaigning for the presidency in 2018 was free quality education for both primary and secondary pupils attending government and government-assisted schools across the country.

In addition to this, President Julius Maada Bio’s government has produced and distributed core subject textbooks for free to the pupils.

That notwithstanding, it is now crystal clear that the manner in which security agencies are allegedly menacingly hovering over examination candidates in the name of catching spies and exam cheats is an indication that the police and military no longer know their role.

It also points to the fact that Ministry of Education authorities seem to have lost it! How on earth can you allow innocent examination candidates to be subjected to such harsh, tyrannical and menacing treatment with armed men parading examination halls?

Straightly speaking, this is intolerable!
