Lawyer JAK Sesay and YI Sesay led the complainant, Josephine M. H. Jackson into the witness box.

In her testimony, she recalled the 29th July, 2019 when she received a threatening phone call demanding for her head. She said that after the phone call, she started seeing stones descending on her roof top and she immediately informed the Police. She said that she had to seek refuge at the back of her house where she heard commanding voices instructing an attack on her house.

When she was asked whether she could be able to identify any of the accused persons, she said yes and identified all of them.

When she was asked to give an overall estimate of damages on her residence, she said an ML Mercedes Benz which was an unregistered vehicle was torched which value she put at US$17,000 and the other properties that were damaged could only be known after a thorough evaluation which she would be willing to submit upon the next adjourned date.

Submitting their bail application, Defense lawyers said that most of their clients needed medical attention and that their clients have all bail requirements ready.

Their submission was countered by prosecuting lawyers on the grounds that most of them might jump bail because they are a flight risk.

Magistrate Bonnie said that lots of issues had been raised by both the Prosecution and Defense Counsels and she needed time to look into them.

The matter comes up again today.
