The theme of the meeting is: ‘Say no to political division among our youth’.

AYV confirmed that the Kossoh Town community was the last intake by COFA before the official opening of the competition on Sunday 18th August this year on which Shell Community takes on Fullah Town Community in the opening match.

Ibrahim Mago Tarawally ‘Junior’ Chairman of the community football team explained to this medium that the meeting is pivotal in the interest of peace and stability not only in football but for the community as a whole.

He pointed out that the meeting is targeting the mindset of people across all ages including middle age, youths and community stakeholders as it had come to the notice of the executive of the football committee that issues of national politics is the leading  factor  towards the  ongoing  saga among the football family.

He said football is a way of bringing people together, adding that the community football committee is working on all modalities to maintain peace within the community and that this time round the team will be going to the competition to emerge victorious by his grace of Almighty God.

He took the opportunity to encourage and urge supporters that will be escorting the team to the Parade Grounds on 30th August 2019, to put up their very best behavior before, during and after the opening match.

He advised fans to keep away from all violent activities because whosoever falls short or goes against the rules and regulations of COFA will be prosecuted without fear or favor.
