“The public is therefore informed that the MoD has not yet released any application form for the next recruitment into the RSLAF” he warned.

Major Brima further said the MoD and the RSLAF have been receiving many phone calls from across the country for clarification about the said application form.

He further explained that recruits into the RSLAF are currently undergoing training at the Armed Forces Training Center (AFTC) at Benguma, Waterloo and that those who will be commissioned will pass-out in September this year.

“We have not sent out any application form because we still have people undergoing training that are yet to be commissioned and until that is done, we cannot release any application form,” he stressed.

Major Brima also reminded potential applicants that when the MoD and the RSLAF is ready to receive applications for recruitment into the RSLAF, they will send out radio and television notices, post such notice on their website, and embark on stakeholders’ engagement in the various communities among other recruitment methods.

He added that the MoD and the RSLAF have also notice that some dubious people are selling the said fake application form. He warned that this is a crime as application forms are not for sale and anyone found wanting will face the full force of the law.

He called on Sierra Leoneans to refrain from being enticed by crooked individuals bent on extorting money, adding that when the time comes, the information about application forms for recruitment into the RSLAF will come only from the MoD in collaboration with the RSLAF.
