The move is for the Freetown International Airport (FNA) to meet the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requirements for Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting Service (RFFS) – Annex 14, Volume 1.

A Rosenbauer personnel from Australia has conducted a 5-day training of drivers and fire vehicle mechanical engineers on the operational and maintenance of the “NEW FIRE FIGHTING VEHICLE – Buffalo Panther – all wheel drive” a first class 2019 brand new and Sierra Leone is the first in the sub-region to own such costs about $1,000,000.

The engine is to fight and combat aircraft fire incident that may occur.
