SL-MINING’S scrap metals worth over 25 million United States dollars from Thofeyim River Terminal (TRT) shipments has been intercepted and immediately stopped by Hon. Haja Isata Abdulai-Kamara Resident Minister Northwest Region.

According her, metals of such nature is the Cooperate Social right of the people of Thofeyim and Maforki chiefdom as a whole.

Scraps must be owned by the community people as per mining agreements in order to help develop their communities within their operation Location. Such as the constructions of schools, hospitals, roads and other deprived structures in their mining operations.

Sources say the matter is now with the police for further investigations.
