“I have not given a word to any presidential candidate for my support; all of us are SLPP and I am SLPP” she reaffirmed. She said every candidate has her support and her door is open to every SLPP member to talk and chart with her but cautioned that standards are falling down within the party. “We are far behind time as a party and that the values of SLPP are eroding” She stressed.
Briefing the media on the ongoing lower elections at lower Bambara in constituency 13 in the Kenema District, the Minority Leader outlined her roles and responsibility as a Member of Parliament on the ongoing lower elections within the SLPP. She pointed out that although certain media houses reported wrong and negative things about her, she wanted to put the record straight that she is SLPP and that she is not campaigning for any aspiring flagbearer within the party and noted that this is her final and last term as a Member of Parliament representing that constituency. “I have served 14 years as a Member of Parliament. 2018 election I will not be vying for Member of Parliament “.
She said, though she is not contesting 2018 election as a Member of Parliament, she is a politician. “I am not living politics” she told journalists.
She reaffirms that, she has love for her people and that her people love her so much. She touches on her role and contributions as a Leader in the developmental process of the country and that of the International platform.
