Many years ago we have been calling on the SLPP to produce a financial report but the party is always dodging. Not because they can’t, but they cannot; because the numbers will not match and the party will produce bad auditing.

This Grand Old Elitist Political Project whose aim is to hijack the will of the people will always remain sneaky. Now, why would Yumkella, the UN Energy Theoretician be the comfortable emissary to call out the SLPP? This is the biggest surprise in 21st Century Politics in Sierra Leone.

How/why would Yumkella question the SLPP’s credentials on transparency? Why must he question this elitist club? Yumkella must have thought that Sierra Leoneans have a short memory. Not anymore, Sir. We don’t. Has Yumkella forgotten that he is the least transparent politician in the history of the world? True. How was he able to get five party registration cards? Why would he exploit the system and complain later? We do understand that the SLPP is anti – transparency but how can we have someone like Yumkella presenting an indictment?

Yumkella must step aside and allow others to call out the SLPP. This party, the SLPP, has never known what transparency is, no matter how hard they try. With Dr Abass Bundu in charge of the SLPP Secretariat, God help us.
