Convict, Kabbia George Michael and Alusine Bangura were charged with the offences of Conspiracy and impersonation contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone, and the particulars of the offences indicated that on 1 December 2016, the two convicts conspired with an unknown individuals to impersonate as members of the Sierra Leone Police Force.

 Court records indicated that Kabbia George Michael was spotted  in police uniform on several occasions at various intercessions within Freetown, namely Smart Lane at New England and Macdonald Street, posing as traffic police officer, and at the same time arresting motor bikes , including motor bikes belonging to genuine police officers, until he  ran out of luck ,on 1st December 2016.

 Before administering  judgment on  convicts , Magistrate Binneh stated that such act should not be encouraged in society  as it has the propensity to undermine and bastardize the Sierra Leone Police Force, adding that there are  laid down procedures  for enrolment into the force and   such act should be nipped in the bud.
