“To give a background to the project, it was in two components we have the Matotoka to Sefadu section and you will definitely noticed along the way that the Matotoka to Sefadu have about four kilometres to be completed.” Memuna Jalloh stated.
She furthered that the project had been completed and that they are about to move on to defect the liability period and before that they had to inspect.
CHICO Project Manager, Kang Weigang explained that the project was a high-quality project, as he assured that the road being constructed will be a durable road and that Sierra Leoneans should have no fear in connection with the guarantee period of the roads being constructed by CHICO.
Public Relations Officer, SLRSA Sorie Ibrahim Kanu confirmed that the project happened to be one hundred and twenty kilometres and that the first section (Matotoka to Sefadu) was almost completed with some sections yet to be completed and that it had fallen within their mandate to thoroughly inspect the second phase of the project.
Ibrahim Sorie Kanu maintained that the second section of the project was contracted to CHICO and that it was their final inspection of the roads, after which there will be a provisional acceptance and that after one year they would have to visit the site again before the final handing over of the road.
