 The Association for the well being of the Rural Communities with Support from Actionaid Sierra Leone presented to the Women of Masungbala Chiefdom, agricultural items such as 72 million leones agricultural structure, grain store, milling machine, and drying floor, in order to foster the agricultural productivity of Masungbala women in agriculture.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony, Executive Director   of the Association for the well being of Rural Communities,   Mohamed F Kamara expressed appreciation to Actionaid for their support which he said had led to the accomplishment of the people dream.

He furthered that many people happened to handle donor property with levity, owing to that he encouraged the people of Masungbala community to look after the items given to them with proper care and utilized them for the right purposes, adding that the given items would benefit them as they carried out their agricultural  activities on a daily basis. 

District Agricultural Officer, Umaru Sankoh said that the constructed building belongs to the women in Masungbala chiefdom and that they have the responsibility to make sure the amount of rice needed by the machine should be produced, in order for the machine to work properly. He stated that his ministry will embark on sensitization process, in order to create awareness on how to produce large quantity of food stuff.

Board member Actionaid Sierra Leone, Idris H Kamara applauded the Association for the well being of Rural Communities for what he described as a wonderful project implementation, he said   as an organization they have no regret partnering with them owing to the fact that they have been contributing immensely in the agricultural sector.

Actionaid Manger North, Alice Nenneh James encouraged Masungbala women to embrace the development and asked that they claimed ownership of the project, as she admonished them to always work together in order to yield great productivity.

Chairlady Masungbala chiefdom, Aminata Kamara while speaking on behalf of the women in the community extended thanks and appreciation to Aactionaid for their donation and promised on behalf of the women in Masungbala community that they will look after the donated items properly.
