Presenting Certificates to some staff of his ministry who recently returned home after pursuing a three-week training programme on Local Governance in Japan at his Yuiyi Building Office in Freetown on Monday, 24th July, 2017, Mr. KaiKai described the programme as a manifestation of his ministry’s readiness to work with the Japanese and thanked them for their ongoing support to the country.

He congratulated the graduands on their achievements and entreated them to put in practice what they have learnt for the benefit of the country. The Minister admonished beneficiaries of such training programmes to always regard themselves as Ambassadors of the country and endeavour to return home after their studies so that others will benefit as well as ensure the relationship between the two countries  continue. “Come up with project proposals and make sure you transfer your knowledge and skills to your colleagues so as to build their capacity”, he encouraged the recipients.

While calling for a minute silence in respect of a Senior officer in his ministry, late Mrs. Alice Kandeh who suddenly passed away while pursuing a course in China, Mr. KaiKai was pleased that all the trainees from Japan came back in good health.

A representative from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency, JICA, Brima Mansaray described the presentation ceremony as unprecedented as far as JICA’S programmes in the ministry were concerned and thanked the minister and team for the initiative.
