RSLAF announces six new job opportunities

The Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF), through its Defence Enterprise Services (DES), has announced six new vacancies for qualified professionals to join its management team.

According to the announcement, the positions available include three General Managers, a Chief Finance Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, ICT Manager, and Project Manager.

The General Manager role requires an MBA, with responsibilities ranging from developing business strategies and overseeing daily operations to managing budgets and identifying growth opportunities.

For the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) position, applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Accounting (ACCA). Duties include financial planning, risk management, reporting, compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance.

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), who must have an MBA in Marketing, will be tasked with brand building, digital marketing, market research, and executing promotional campaigns.

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) position, also requiring an MBA, involves overseeing daily operations, HR management, policy development, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

In the technical wing, the ICT Manager must hold a BSc in Management and Infrastructure and will be responsible for graphic and web design, database management, and CCTV installation.

Meanwhile, the Project Manager post requires a BSc in Project Management, with core duties in project planning, budgeting, risk management, and progress monitoring.

Applications should be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer, Defence Enterprise Services (DES), at the Former Tripple Canopy Office, Tinma Barracks, Murray Town, Freetown. The deadline for submissions is Friday, 22nd August 2025.
