The Sierra Leone Police have declared Musa Bangura, a native of Tonkolili district, wanted in connection with the alleged trafficking and death of a young man named Abdulai during an illegal migration attempt to Europe.
According to police reports, Musa, whose parents are Ibrahim Bangura and Fatmata Turay, left Sierra Leone with Abdulai in a bid to reach Tunisia in search of better opportunities. However, while Musa is reported to have successfully arrived in the foreign country, Abdulai tragically died during the journey after their boat capsized reportedly on the Tunisian meditarian.
Following news of Abdulai’s death, his grieving family in Sierra Leone raised serious concerns about the circumstances surrounding the incident. They suspect foul play and allege that Musa may have been involved in their son’s demise—possibly sacrificing him in exchange for a successful passage abroad.
The matter was reported to the police, prompting an active investigation. Since then, law enforcement officials have intensified efforts to locate Musa, including multiple raids on his family home. His relatives have also reportedly been questioned by the police as they continue their search for answers.
The Sierra Leone Police urge anyone with credible information about Musa Bangura’s whereabouts to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
