Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe — Sierra Leone’s Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Nabeela Farida Tunis, is participating in the official opening ceremony of the 2nd UN Tourism Regional Congress on Women’s Empowerment in Tourism in Africa, currently underway in Victoria Falls.
The event, held on April 29, 2026, brings together tourism leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the continent and beyond to promote gender inclusion and strengthen women’s participation in the tourism sector.
Minister Tunis is pictured alongside members of her delegation, fellow African Tourism Ministers, and representatives from Ghana, Zambia, Liberia, Tanzania, and the Dominican Republic.
The congress will continue with high-level strategic discussions aimed at advancing women’s empowerment and fostering inclusive growth within Africa’s tourism industry.
