The National Commission for Social Action has hosted a visiting German delegation at its headquarters in Freetown ahead of an on-site assessment of ongoing development projects across Sierra Leone.
The delegation was received by the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and senior management of NaCSA, alongside technical teams overseeing key programme areas. Discussions focused on reviewing the scope, progress, and impact of current interventions being implemented nationwide.
During the engagement, NaCSA presented updates on a range of activities, including infrastructure development, youth employment initiatives, and broader social and economic support programmes. The Commission also highlighted its operational approach, emphasising quality assurance, timely delivery, and responsiveness to community needs across multiple districts.
The German mission team reaffirmed its commitment to supporting effective implementation and ensuring that programme objectives are achieved within agreed timelines. Both sides underscored the importance of continuous monitoring, adaptive planning, and strong stakeholder engagement in addressing challenges at field level.
A key area of focus was ongoing road construction works in the provinces, which form a significant part of the infrastructure component of the programme. Following the meeting in Freetown, the delegation has proceeded to the field to conduct inspections and engage local communities directly.
The visit also serves as preparation for a subsequent high-level engagement at the State House, where further discussions on programme progress and cooperation are expected.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional partnership and enhancing development outcomes aimed at improving livelihoods across Sierra Leone.
