Sierra Leone’s Minister of Finance, Sheku Ahmed Fantamadi Bangura, participated in a high-level dialogue on “Transformative Solutions for Constraints to Country-Driven Growth” during the 2026 IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings held in Washington, D.C..
The forum brought together global policymakers, development experts, and financial leaders to examine structural barriers affecting economic growth and explore innovative, country-led solutions for sustainable development.
Speaking during the engagement, Minister Bangura emphasised the importance of domestic resource mobilisation, institutional reform, and strategic investment in human capital as critical pillars for achieving long-term economic transformation.
