According to DIG Moigbe, the police have completed preliminary investigations into the matter involving Ajisafe and that his file has been sent to the Attorney General’s office and Law Officers Department for legal advice.
He said the pastor was granted bail in line with Section 17 Sub-section 3 of the national constitution which imposes time limits on detention of a suspect.
Meanwhile, he went on, Evangelist Ajisafe has been ordered to be reporting in person at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on a daily basis as the security situation is being monitored.
In addition to this, police say his Church, Sanctuary Praise will remain closed and he himself is banned from delivering sermon until it pleases the police.
Evangelist Ajisafe has further been ordered by the police not to embark on any form of travelling out of the city of Freetown or the country without getting authorized clearance from the Sierra Leone police to do so.
In conclusion, the fine police officer used the forum as an opportunity to remind the general public of the existing Independent Media Commission (IMC) ban on the public debate of the Ajisafe matter which is still under investigations.
