Ten years after the death of Moseray Fadika, popularly known as “Super-Mus,” friends, community members and political associates have renewed calls to preserve his legacy of philanthropy, community service and national unity.
The 10th anniversary of Fadika’s death was commemorated on Saturday, August 8, 2026, through a series of activities organised by the Friends of Super (FOS) Foundation.
The commemoration began with Quranic recitation and a charity programme at the Mandingo Central Mosque in Magazine Community. The activities later continued with a football match at the Parade Field in COFA, bringing together communities in an event organisers said was intended to promote peace, unity and social cohesion.
Magazine Community FC emerged victorious, defeating Fullah Town Community FC 2-1 in the Moseray Fadika Trophy 10th Anniversary match.
The event attracted political leaders, community representatives, friends and associates of the late ambassador, who used the occasion to reflect on his contribution to society and his commitment to helping others.
APC Acting National Chairman, Ambassador AlhajiOsman Foday Yansaneh, described Fadika as both a brother and comrade, saying his contributions and values would continue to be remembered.
Chairman of the Friends of Super Foundation and Deputy Mayor of Freetown, Kweku Lisk, reaffirmed the foundation’s determination to preserve Fadika’svision and ensure that his commitment to community development continues to inspire future generations.
Organisers said the 10th anniversary was more than a commemoration of Fadika’s death, but also a reaffirmation of the principles for which he was known, particularly generosity, service to others, peace and unity.
Through the Friends of Super Foundation, his supporters say efforts will continue to translate his ideals into practical community initiatives.
A decade after his passing, the message from the anniversary remains clear: the Dream of Super Lives On.
