Haja Isatu Bah-Kamara, the Southern Region Chairperson of the All Peoples Congress Party (APC), has made a passionate appeal to the leadership of the party. She renewed the call for strict adherence to the 30% quota for women at all levels of the APC executive, stressing that women’s inclusion is not optional but a strong requirement that strengthens the party. Her message highlighted the APC’s commitment to fairness, balance, and inclusive leadership as it prepares for the future.
Haja Isatu Bah-Kamara also appealed for unity, peace, and respect for party rules as the APC prepares for its internal processes ahead of the 2028 general elections. She made these remarks during the APC First Fund-Raising Dinner Launch held at Family Kingdom, organised by the APC Women’s Congress under the leadership of Mariama Lowe Bangura on Tuesday, 6 January 2026.
Addressing party members, supporters, flagbearer aspirants, and stakeholders, Haja Isatu Bah-Kamara urged everyone to place unity above division, warning that internal conflicts only weaken the party’s chances of success. She reminded the gathering that only one person will eventually emerge as the party’s flagbearer and that all members must be ready to accept the outcome with maturity and respect. According to her, the winner must also show humility by embracing those who do not win.
She further noted that peace is not automatic but a continuous process that requires patience, tolerance, and commitment from all sides. Haja Isatu Bah-Kamara also stressed the importance of putting the APC first by respecting the party’s constitution and adhering to the 30% quota for women’s representation. She said empowering women is not only a constitutional requirement but also a key step towards building a stronger and more inclusive APC.
She concluded by calling on all APCians to work together in unity and discipline for the future of the party and the nation.
