Press Secretary Yusuf Keketoma Sandi has called on Sierra Leoneans to demonstrate the country’s renowned hospitality as preparations intensify for the upcoming ECOWAS Mid-Year Summit.
Speaking ahead of the regional gathering, Mr. Sandi encouraged citizens to warmly receive the thousands of delegates and visitors expected from across West Africa, noting that every smile, kind gesture, and act of courtesy will contribute to projecting a positive image of Sierra Leone.
He said the summit presents a unique opportunity to showcase the nation’s rich cultural heritage, tourism potential, and investment opportunities, while creating lasting impressions for visiting Heads of State, government officials, diplomats, business leaders, development partners, and members of the international media.
Mr. Sandi also urged journalists and media practitioners to complete the official online accreditation process to ensure smooth coverage of the high-profile event.
The ECOWAS Mid-Year Summit is expected to bring together regional leaders and key stakeholders, providing Sierra Leone with a significant platform to demonstrate its capacity to successfully host major international conferences.
“Let’s all be ambassadors for Sierra Leone by extending warmth, respect, and genuine hospitality to every visitor,” Mr. Sandi appealed.
