Few weeks to the commencement of the widely anticipated and eagerly awaited Inter-Schools Rap and Dance Competitions, AYV Cypher, Hit the Street and Afrimoney have collaborated to ensure viewers and participants get a never-to-be-forgotten competitions.

A Team from AYV Cypher and Hit the Street have met with the newly appointed Director of Afrimoney, John Konteh and his Team at their Wilberforce office in Freetown to set up strategic partnership ahead of the Competitions slated to be held across Sierra Leone.

The mission of AYV Cypher and Hit the Street project is to create the right platform for young people, through a reality television show.

The AYV Team said: “We are Anticipating the biggest dance and rap battle in the history of secondary schools, our journey takes us further to more schools across Freetown. We believe entertainment through education is key in sensitizing the youth and school-going pupils, as we fondly say ‘Edutainment’.”

The show intends to motivate young people develop a culture of self-belief and a positive esteem that is free from violence; that will also help them manage their talents and potentials in ‘Rap and Hip-Hop and Dance skills’ that can be translated into a positive contribution to society, hence national prosperity.

Rap and Dance are not in any way a synonym to rudeness of violence but technical ways of vocal expression with rhymes and dance steps to telling a story just like poetry and Hip-Hop is a way of life that encourages a person to be self-conscious to the opposition of all form.
