He noted that such an act undermines peace, national security and economic growth, as peace and security is very fundamental and also serves as a corner stone for the overall development of any nation.

Musa Pious Sesay informed journalists that he has been in the legal profession for over twenty five years with manifold experience on legal issues bordering on security, national cohesion and development, stating that the national security apparatus, like the police and the military have a great role to play in the area of maintaining and consolidating peace and security in Sierra Leone.

The Allied Noble Congress scribe called on the government, civil society organizations, the opposition All People’s Congress party, including other political parties that participated in the just-concluded presidential, parliamentary and local council elections to issue statements and publicly condemn the recent spate of violence, intimidation and other forms of violence in various parts of the country.

“My movement will continue to condemn such barbaric and uncivilized acts, and at the same time, encourage young people to be law-abiding and the need for them to engage in violent-free activities for the peaceful co-existence of the people of this country.

He also disclosed that Allied Noble Congress has established regional offices in Bo, Makeni and Kenema as part of his organization’s posture to empower young people; take the movement to the grassroots communities and ensure that all those engaged in perpetrating violence in the country are brought to book.

Musa Pious Sesay maintained that his movement is presently engaged in feeding programmes for the poor and needy in various communities, like Rokupr, Brima Lane, Kissy Mess Mess, Portee and other communities in different parts of the country.
