The High Court has fined former All People’s Congress (APC) Deputy National Publicity Secretary Mohamed Pope Kamara Le10,000 for contempt of court, warning that failure to pay within three hours could result in a 14-day prison sentence.
Hon. Justice Adrian Fisher also imposed a 60-day restriction on Kamara, barring him from granting media interviews and posting on social media.
Kamara appeared before Justice Fisher on Monday, October 19, 2026, over allegations that he breached a court order by continuing to present himself as the APC’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary despite being directed to stop.
The court’s decision adds a new development to the ongoing legal dispute surrounding Kamara’s use of the party position.
The fine and accompanying restrictions mark a further escalation in the case, which centres on compliance with the court’s earlier directive.
The court warned that failure to meet the payment deadline could lead to Kamara’s imprisonment for 14 days.
The ruling underscores the court’s position on compliance with its orders as the legal dispute over the APC position continues.
