It can be recalled that since he was elected and announced President of Sierra Leone on 4th April this year, President Bio has been working from a temporal office at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel in Aberdeen and his Juba Hill residence where he has been conveying meetings with dignitaries and foreign visitors.

Past Saturday, APC delegation headed by Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara visited President Bio at his Juba Hills residence to discuss the way forward and above all, ways to addressing the ongoing violence across the country.

The APC delegation also raised concerns on repeated attacks on their members and supporters, especially in some parts of the regions allegedly by some SLPP members and supporters.  

Dr. Samura Kamara also used the forum to personally congratulate President Bio and prayed God he succeeds in his governance tenure.

President Bio Initiates Committee against Political Violence

The Office of the President wishes to inform the general public that following a meeting with a delegation from the All People’s Congress Party led by Dr. Samura Kamara on concerns of political violence and intimidation, His Excellency, President Julius Maada Bio has initiated a cross-party committee to address incidents of political violence and intimidation across the country.
