The Government of Sierra Leone has successfully received the first cohort of Third Country Nationals (TCNs), with officials confirming that all arrival and reception procedures were completed smoothly and without incident.
According to official information, nine of the expected twenty-four individuals arrived in the country. The group comprises five Ghanaians, two Guineans, one Senegalese, and one Nigerian.
Authorities disclosed that all arrivals have been checked into designated hosting facilities where they are receiving the necessary care, support, and accommodation.
Government also confirmed that the individuals fully cooperated with the repatriation process to their respective countries.
Officials commended the Multi-Stakeholder Committee and all participating Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) for what was described as strong coordination, professionalism, and effective collaboration throughout the operation.
The successful reception process is being viewed as an important demonstration of coordinated regional cooperation and humanitarian support.
