Two senior staff of the Online Unit of the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire, Amadu Lamrana Bah and Lawrence Sakpa have benefited from the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) Voice of America (VOA) training on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Mobile Journalism Training.

Over twenty media practitioners including, reporters, news directors, editors and bloggers also benefited from a three-day training which was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Freetown.

The training was facilitated by distinguished trainers from “In Old News LTD,” a globally recognized media organization in Journalism and digital content who provided hands-on sessions, discussions, presentations and group projects and exercises on AI and Mobile Journalism.

Being key staff in the AYV Online Team, Amadu Lamrana Bah is also Director of News and Current Affairs at AYV and Lawrence Sakpa is Social Media Publicist and Website Publisher.

Amadu Lamrana Bah said: “As a media partner to the Voice of America, AYV looks forward to more opportunities to capacitate our workforce to make them more efficient with current trends as the media continues to evolve with new technology”.
