The Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Francis Ben Kaifala, has called on public officials across Sierra Leone to comply with assetdeclaration requirements, describing the process as a key benchmark of accountability and integrity in public service.
Speaking on the importance of transparency in governance, Commissioner Kaifala stressed that asset declaration is not merely a legal obligation but a demonstration of ethical commitment by public servants.
“To declare your assets is to declare your allegiance to integrity,” he stated.
He emphasized that the practice plays a critical role in strengthening public trust, preventing illicit enrichment, and promoting accountability within government institutions. According to him, a transparent public service culture remains essential to Sierra Leone’s anti-corruption drive.
The ACC continues to encourage compliance with asset declaration laws as part of its broader mandate to detect, prevent, and investigate corruption in both public and private sector institutions.
