The Sierra Leone Police yesterday 25th August, 2022 informed newsmen that they have released One Hundred and Thirty-Three people who were arrested and detained during the August 10, 2022 violence in some parts of Sierra Leone.

According to Police Head of Criminal Investigations Department, Richard P.J. Robert, as of yesterday, a total of Five Hundred and Six people were arrested and detained in police custody from some parts of the country.

Currently, there are still Three Hundred and Seventy-Three people in detention helping police in their investigations.  

Police say the total number of people detained includes those arrested during the violence and some arrested for violating the curfew order that was pronounced by President Julius Maada Bio following the violence.
