From 28th to 30th July, 2023, the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire held its Strategic Planning Senior Management Retreat, with CEO Amb Anthony Navo; Jr leading a dedicated team of leaders from Sierra Leone, Regions and International. The retreat was held at the beautiful The Place Resort and the 2 Seasons Hotel in Tokeh.
The retreat brought together talented leaders from various divisions of the media empire for a weekend of inspiration, collaboration, and team-building.
The picturesque coastal town of Tokeh provided the perfect backdrop for the retreat, with its pristine beaches and serene atmosphere. The participants were greeted with warm hospitality as they arrived at The Place Resort and the 2 Seasons Hotel, known for their world-class amenities and breath-taking ocean views.
The retreat kicked off with an opening ceremony led by the visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AYV Media Empire, Amb. Anthony Navo Jr.
In his address, Amb. Navo emphasised the importance of unity, innovation and creativity in driving the media empire’s continued success. He also highlighted the significance of the annual retreat in fostering camaraderie and generating fresh ideas.
The retreat featured an array of engaging activities designed to promote teamwork and personal growth. Presentation sessions led by the empire’s directorates covered topics such as online media trends, content creation, cutting-edge technology, and effective storytelling through the news. Participants had the opportunity to enhance their skills, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights into the rapidly evolving media landscape.
Interactive sessions provided a platform for employees to connect with colleagues from different departments and share their experiences. These interactions fostered a sense of community within the media empire, encouraging collaboration and cross-pollination of ideas.
Apart from professional development, the retreat also emphasized wellness and relaxation. The picturesque surroundings of Tokeh, with its white sands and azure waters, offered a serene and rejuvenating atmosphere for all.
A grand gala dinner was organized to celebrate the achievements of the media empire and honour the contributions of its talented workforce.
Reflecting on the success of the retreat, Amb. Navo expressed his gratitude to the dedicated team members who made the event possible. He commended their commitment to excellence and their unwavering passion for delivering quality content to the audience. Amb. Navo approved the Amb. Anthony Navo Award that will be launched soonest and an investigative Unit of the empire.
The retreat proved to be a resounding success, strengthening the bonds among employees, fostering innovation, and inspiring creativity. The media empire looks forward to continuing its mission of providing engaging and impactful content that resonates with its loyal viewership.
As the retreat came to an end, participants left Tokeh with a renewed sense of purpose, armed with fresh ideas and a strengthened resolve to push the boundaries of media excellence in Sierra Leone and beyond.
