The Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire has been recognised and appreciated by the Government of Sierra Leone’s National Public Health Agency for its outstanding support in the national fight against MPOX.
The Agency’s Executive Director, Brig Gen. Prof Foday Sahr, expressed gratitude for AYV’s contributions, particularly through its daily radio program ‘Insai Di Barray,’ which has been instrumental in educating and empowering citizens to understand and prevent the spread of MPOX.
He said, “Your programme, Insai Di Barray, has been a shining example of how media can educate, inspire, and protect communities. Your skill, care, and commitment in presenting health messages have empowered citizens to understand and prevent the spread of Mpox, directly contributing to the decline in cases”.
Addressing Mr. Samuels directly, the Executive Director acknowledged that it is rare to find a broadcaster whose dedication to public welfare matches their talent, and we are deeply grateful for your efforts.
He called on him to accept the Agency’s sincere thanks and appreciation for the invaluable role he continued to play in promoting health, knowledge, and safety in Sierra Leone.
AYV’s daily radio program ‘Insai Di Barray’, produced by the Manager of AYV Radio, Mr. Michael Samuels, has been instrumental in presenting health messages, empowering citizens to understand and prevent the spread of MPOX.
AYV continues to play an invaluable role in promoting health knowledge and safety in Sierra Leone.
