Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi met with Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Belarus (with residence in Moscow) Mohamed Yongawo, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

“The parties discussed ways of expanding political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation and humanitarian interaction, organising mutual visits. Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi stressed that Belarus attaches great importance to the development of the entire range of relations with African countries,” the press service said.

The Belarusian ambassador stressed the importance of completing the work on the preparation of a bilateral agreement to set up a joint committee on trade and economic cooperation. He said that the document will give impetus to cooperation between Belarus and Sierra Leone.

“Ambassador Mohamed Yongawo identified agriculture as one of the priority and promising areas of cooperation with Belarus. The ambassador of Sierra Leone showed interest in the Belarusian experience in the development of the agricultural industry and the mechanization of agricultural production. The Sierra Leonean diplomat also noted the importance of exhibition and fair activities and interaction between business communities,” the press service said.

“The heads of the diplomatic missions of Belarus and Sierra Leone in Moscow also discussed the development of cooperation in education,” the embassy added.
