Speaking with workers at the farmland, President Bio said: “We have to do more of these to increase food productivity and reduce on food importation in the years to come.”

This massive investment in rice production shows that President Bio does not only make pronouncements but also lead by example in ensuring increased food production across the country. A political analyst states.

It is worth noting that the New Direction Government has placed priority on local food production and President Bio has also encouraged Sierra Leoneans to embark on food productivity especially those serving in public offices.
