According to the   Project Coordinator of the “Pull slum par people project” Jenneh Gbao, the project is one that was undertaken as a way of supporting young people of slum communities to be self reliant.

Speaking at the Graduation ceremony which saw 319 people, the Deputy Mayor of the Freetown City Municipality, Hannah Mary Jiah, congratulated the graduating students and commended them for having the desire to have embraced the project, adding that with the skills they have acquired they can help develop their different communities.

Some of the students who spoke to AYV expressed delight over the certificates they have received  on different courses, promising of using the skills acquired to help improve their communities.
