The Minister of Works, Kemoh Sesay said that the signing of the contract was a way of showing their commitment to the signed project with CHICO; he stated that in relations to infrastructural development, his government had been thriving excellently in that particular path, as that was an imbedded provision in the government agenda for prosperity.  He further encouraged Sierra Leoneans to embrace development and work collectively for better and prosperous nation.   

CHICO Managing Director, Kong Weigong extended appreciation to the numerous representatives and the Government for entrusting the contract to them, he stated that the rehabilitation of Bo-Bandajuma road would be a great development, he ascertained that the local people of that part of the together with the entire nation would soon enjoy quality road network, as he promised to deliver the road based on the project stipulated time.

The ceremony was climaxed with the presentation of the contractor to President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, as His Excellency extended appreciation to African Development Bank and other donors for their timely intervention, President Koroma said the signing of the Bo-Bandajuma road work contract was welcoming news, as the project tends to improve the country’s infrastructural sector.

President Koroma continued by saying that the road would be  vital to the government and that it has been a commitment the government had initially made at the just concluded ECOWAS Summit in Liberia, he further urged the contractor to do the right thing and ensure proper implementation of the project was done .

The signing ceremony of the Mano River Union Rehabilitation-for the Bo-Bandajuma project was witnessed by representatives from African Development Bank, Parliamentary Works Housing and Infrastructure Committee, Civil Society Organizations, Motor Drivers Union and Government Ministries.
