Dozens of locals who spoke to AYV newspaper last evening of 18th January in random interviews said the news that the PPRC has ordered the police to forcefully pull down posters owned by the Citizens Democratic Party (CDP) headed by Hon. Musa Tarawally is very much of a security threat and concern to the millions of loyalists, members and followers of the party.

Sierra Leoneans used this medium to appeal to His Excellency the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, partners and friends of Sierra Leone locally and internationally not to allow the police execute what they termed as: “The ugly PPRC order”. According to them, such orders if executed have the tendency to ignite political unrest in the country.

AYV contacted the Head of Media and Outreach at the PPRC, Lucian Momoh who confirmed that the order for the police to pull down all CDP posters with religious wordings is true. He said it is an order coming directly from the PPRC to the police.
