The 24 year old medical student leading the charity foundation passionately spoke about the need for all and sundry to unite and save the future generation.

Ms. Mansaray narrated the story of a 10 years old child named Fatima, whose dream to become a medical doctor, was crushed by the deadly Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone that killed her entire family.

“During the day, Fatima is spotted around the Cotton Tree area in Freetown with her blind uncle sweating profusely begging for food money,” she narrated, adding: “Market stalls become her home by night fall”.

Mansaray called on the audience to provide support in the form of food, shelter, clothing and medication to save the lives of these children.

On her part, Isha Turay re-echoed the call to support children like Fatima, whose dream to become a medical doctor is still achievable.

She disclosed that they are currently printing and selling ‘Deyning Sewa T-shirts with the proceeds being used to provide food, educational scholarships and clothing among other support.

The name Deyning Sewa, according to Ms. Turay, was derived from the Mandingo tribe and it means happy kids.

The Deyning Sewa ladies pledged to do all in their powers to support these needy kids to achieve their dreams.
