The First Lady of Sierra Leone, Dr Fatima Maada Bio, has reinforced her commitment to grassroots mobilisation and diaspora engagement following a strategic meeting with supporters in the United Kingdom.
During her visit, Dr. Bio met with members of Julius Maada Bio (JMB) United Kingdom & Ireland (UK&I) and Team EBEMA, describing the engagement as both productive and inspiring. The session brought together Sierra Leonean supporters based abroad who continue to play an active role in promoting shared political ideals despite being far from home.
Addressing the gathering, the First Lady expressed gratitude for what she described as the group’s steadfast loyalty and organisational strength. She noted that distance has not weakened their resolve, commending them for consistently mobilising and representing their values with dignity.
Dr. Bio stressed that the movement’s journey is anchored in service and purpose, rather than personal ambition. She said the passion and unity demonstrated by diaspora members serve as reassurance that the foundation being built is grounded in conviction and long-term vision.
The meeting also featured what she described as open and constructive discussions on strategy and future direction. Emphasising the need for patience, resilience, and unity, she encouraged supporters to remain focused and coordinated as they navigate the evolving political landscape.
