Artricks Ltd and LoopColors have signed a strong partnership aimed to empower the artistic and cultural landscapes of Sierra Leone and the broader West African region.
The Partnership further provides artists with access to high-quality art supplies, with the key objectives including enhancing the creative capabilities of local artists, supporting major cultural events to boost community engagement, and establishing Freetown as a leading cultural hub in West Africa.
With the Partnership, Artists will be selected through a collaborative process led by Artricks, with input from LoopColors. The selection criteria include artistic merit, potential impact of the sponsorship on the artist’s career, and the artist’s ability to engage the community through their work.
Artists from Sierra Leone and the wider West African region will be encouraged to apply, with a special emphasis on those who demonstrate a commitment to using art as a tool for social and cultural enrichment.
LoopColors will be the exclusive sponsor for two major cultural events managed by Artricks: The Freetown Street Art and Music Festival 2024 and the Independence Day Glow Up: From Dusk 2 Glow. These events are designed to celebrate the rich artistic culture of Sierra Leone, featuring live art demonstrations, music performances, and interactive community activities.
The sponsorship will cover event organisation costs, artist materials, and promotional activities, ensuring wide visibility and participation.
The Partnership is expected to have a significant, positive impact on the art community by; “increasing access to quality art supplies, enabling artists to produce more vibrant and diverse works; providing platforms for artists to showcase their talents and connect with wider audiences; strengthening the cultural sector’s infrastructure through event sponsorships, fostering a more dynamic and sustainable artistic community; and inspiring the next generation of artists by demonstrating the value and impact of art in society.
This partnership represents a commitment to nurturing the creative talents of West Africa and showcasing the region’s cultural richness on a global stage.
