A Steering Committee of experts and members of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) have met at Anti-Corruption Commission Conference Room in Freetown to discuss ways to secure Sierra Leone’s place in OGP Global.

The Committee also held the Independent Review Mechanism’s (IRM) end of term assessment and further discussed its relevance to securing Sierra Leone’s place in the OGP Global.

Part of the IRM review process requires an evidence-based report of the NAP commitment implementations by relevant institutions from OGP member countries.

The meeting also factored discussions on the review preceding the National Action Plan (NAP 4), as well as to set the tone for the development of a new NAP and Sierra Leone’s participation in the September 2023 OGP Global Summit in Estonia.

The engagement was organised by the National Coordinator for OGP, Hannah Jimmy, from the National Council for Civic Education and Democracy (NaCCED).
