Delivering her keynote address on the theme ‘Women Increasing Sustainable Energy Access and Use’ WISE, Fatima Bio thanked the European Union for funding such an essential programme with about 5000 women beneficiaries in Sierra Leone.

 

Statistics show that about 5 million out of 7 million Sierra Leoneans (mainly in rural communities) do not have access to reliable and clean energy.

 

Fatima Bio urged the Barefoot Power team, which is the major implementing partner of the project in Sierra Leone, to work for the benefit of the country.
