The process was spearheaded by the IFMIS Project Manager of PFMICP, Maxwell Massaquoi, in collaboration with the Accountant General’s Department (AGD) , Public Financial Management Reform Unit(PFMRU) and the Information Communication Technology Unit (ICT).

The roll-out process started at the Immigration Department and moved to the Ministry of Internal Affairs & Ministry of Water Resources   on Friday 4th March. On Monday 7th March, the IFMIS Roll-out process continued at the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Resources & Ministry of Trade and Industry. The system was also rolled-out to Ministry of Defence on Monday 14th March.

It should be noted that before the roll-out process commenced on the 3rdMarch, six computers, servers, UPS and Printers were distributed through funds donated by donor partners, principally DFID, World Bank and AFDB to the eight new MDAs that the IFMIS has rolled out to.

It should be recalled that during the PFMICP World Bank Mission in May 2015, it was agreed that IFMIS should be rolled out to MDAs who were not using the system before.

A significant factor of the IFMIS roll- out Process is that now that the system has been rolled out to these MDAs, they will be processing their financial transactions from their respective locations and there will be no need for the new users to go to the IFMIS training room at the AGD to process their transactions.
