A mother of three children in Makpaki-Tenneh Village, Tonkolili District, Mrs. Mabinty Kargbo said, in the past, her children go to school crying on the day she is unable to give them money to buy food during lunch break. She added that this made her unhappy most times, knowing that hunger distracts the concentration of children when they are being taught.

Madam Kargbo added that as a result, she chose not to bother the children, when she found out they were not staying in school. However, she maintained that she is now happy and appreciative to the government for the School Feeding Programme. According to her, the programme has succeeded in keeping her children in school.

She went on to say that the children are now happy to go to school where they are fed. A fruit farmer in a town known as Mateneh Bana, in Tonkolili District, John Tholley told the delegation from the line ministry, that government is achieving its goal to keep children in school, through implementation of the feeding programme.
