Claded in various green attires, the supporters came from all corners of the city and stormed major streets singing in support of their candidates.

Among the songs witnessed by our reporters is one titled ‘Time don done’ in which it is stated that ‘the SLPP does not have a Fullah boy, but a Fullah man that will not engage in masquerade parade’.

Following his successful nomination, in the company of his Running Mate, Maada Bio made a commitment to peaceful elections while saluting the National Electoral Commission (NEC) for a job well done so far.

Unlike the nomination of the Presidential Candidate of the National Grand Coalition (NGC), Kandeh Yumkella, there was no objection to the nomination of Julius Maada Bio as at time of going to press last night.

The ruling All People’s Congress (APC) would be nominating its presidential candidate and parliamentarians today.
