Tawa Conteh maintained “cleaning is not anything that has to do with politics, we clean not because we want to create an impression, we clean because we want to maintain sanity in our society, we also want to eradicate some of the illnesses we have been facing, if we want to breath fresh air and dwell in conducive atmosphere, we just have to clean our environs”
He said that with the strong messages that he has been disseminating in connection with the dangers of contaminated environment, a situation he said prompted the youth as they are facilitating the cleaning of their community on a monthly basis. He furthered “they are not cleaning because I have been providing feeding which they can afford but is to help their community.”
Black tank Market Chairlady, Adama Kallokoh applauded Tawa and pointed out that the dirt in their community was a societal challenge, as the previous dirty in the community market was mountainous.
She highlighted that Tawa has been supporting the market as well as addressing their hygienic problems in the market. She added “tawa provided toilet facility when there was none, he support us with taps and five thousand millimeter Milla water tank, so we really appreciate that he has been organizing this monthly cleaning process in our community.”
Cleaner of the market, Mohamed Mustapha Lahai said that since the construction of the market they have never had a general cleaning exercise of such intensive manner, as Tawa happened to be a man of his words, he has fulfilled all the promises he made to us, Lahai noted.
