The Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire held its’ Annual Staff of the Year 2023 Awards in recognition of staff who have demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment to duty throughout the year 2023.

Prominent amongst the winners are Deputy Director of News and Current Affairs, Elizabeth Momoh, as Female Staff of the Year and Director of Broadcast and Technical, Bunting Wright as Male Staff of the Year 2023.

Elizabeth Momoh joined the AYV Media Empire as a Volunteer. She worked as News Anchor and Reporter at AYV’s Northern Region Bureau headquartered in Makeni for 3 consecutive years before being transferred to the Company’s Headquarters on Wesley Street in Freetown after her graduation with a LLB. She won AYV Staff of the Year Awards in 2019.

Elizabeth smoothly sailed through Law School and was called to the Bar and today, she is not only a Broadcaster but also a sound and brave practicing Lawyer and legal luminary.

She has been in the Company for all these years from a Volunteer, goes through the ranks and today she is the Company’s Deputy Director of News and Current Affairs.

Bunting Wright joined the AYV as an IT officer during the Company’s cradles at Coffee Nicole House on Siaka Stevens Street.

He was among the first 9 staff to be employed at AYV and has served the Company diligently and diversifying through its thick and thins to date.

During his stay, the Company employed an international expert by the name Habib Munzir as Broadcast Director.

He trained Bunting for 5 years and today, Bunting can stand as one of Sierra Leone’s best Broadcast Engineers.

He has now rise to the position as Director of Broadcast at AYV Media Empire.

The Awards are presented to inspire staff and appreciate their hardwork and positive contributions to the Company’s growth. The AYV Annual Staff Awards afford the opportunity to acknowledge hardwork and dedication of staff towards their respective duties.
